This site is the bounded publication pilot for Understanding Our Economy: Macroeconomics. It tests the route from human drafting in Google Docs to reproducible Quarto publication.

The pilot does not present Chapter 1 as an approved or complete textbook chapter. Any sample prose and questions are clearly marked as workflow fixtures until Simon and the responsible coauthor approve them.

What this pilot proves

  • Structured glossary, MCQ, flashcard, and exercise assets can be validated and rendered.
  • A FRED figure can be reproduced from a pinned snapshot without network access.
  • Google Docs exports can be preflighted for unresolved review markup before conversion.
  • Every artifact has an explicit canonical state and human approval gate.
